When I Started:
Feb, 2009
How I Started:
I started around the age of 13 with boxing. Over a period of a year and a half, I dropped from nearly 400 pounds down to 265, where I played football at. At the time the only diet I had ever tried was Weight Watchers, which was a great way to lose weight, except for the fact that it isn't necesarilly a healthy diet. You can eat pizza and drink beer all day, as long as it is within your points range. After developing a love for bodybuilding, I worked in a few gyms. After high school I eventually quit all cardio and stopped any healthy eating. After years of training as heavy as I could, my joints really began letting me know it about a year ago, leading to taking one year out of the gym, completely. Time to change things around again.
Why I Love It:
I remember I fell in love with bodybuilding the first time someone had an old VHS copy of Pumping Iron, that I saw around 15 I guess. Arnold had been my childhood hero, from the movies, but seeing this was a whole new world to learn about and from. Jay Cutler is my favorite bodybuilder.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have been to the Olympia and the Arnold, both, in 2005, where I got to meet many of my heroes. I wasn't too happy when I got the pictures back, and saw exactly how big I was. My goal is to take pictures I'll be proud of, at this year's Olympia.

None...yet.

This was taken in the middle of football season, in the library. I weighed 318 at the time this one was taken. As of today, 3-3-09, I'm at 355. I have a ways to go before I can get in the shape I was in this picture, but plan on blowing far past it, hopefully into the 280's by August.
I want to be 275 pounds by the 2010 Arnold Classic. I've got several goals throughout the year this year, including going back to Vegas to train with Jay and also to train with Tiffany Forni. A lot of people counted Jay out of the Olympia this year, thinking that he couldn't do it, the same way I feel I've been counted out. He stepped on stage, pretty much telling the haters where to go, and I want to do the same. I want to be looked at like my heroes are looked at, and I want to get to a level where I can inspire someone maybe.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 100 lb

15%

The best bicep exercise, by itself, would be a drop set on standing barbell curls. Have three ten pound plates on each side. For the first set, bang out ten reps, and drop two plates from each side. Take care of the second ten, and instead of dropping another plate, put the second one back on. Your arms are thinking it's a drop set, and it blows them up when you add weight for the last ten reps. The best bicep exercise, by itself, would be a drop set on standing barbell curls. What tricep workout has worked best for you?
Nothing has ever put size on my triceps like close-grip bench and dips, until failure. If you want a big bench, tri's are where its at.

What calf workout has worked best for you?
Standing raises on the smith machine, using a board to hang your feet off of.
43 days until my flight for Vegas, and I've had to change my goal up a bit. I'm toying with these 3-4 pounds every few days, I can't seem to get out of the higher 330's. I'm not sure if it's a mental thing? So I thought my original goal of being at 300 for the O at this point might not...
Hey, big man! You have a lot of muscle under that blubber. In theory, you don't want to loose the fat too quickly or some of that muscle will get burned up. Good luck!
