I have always been into fitness - I was a gymnast for 13 years, but I immediately began putting on weight when I stopped. Finally, I just didn't like what was staring back at me when I looked in the mirror.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel - it's such a great stress reliever - and I love when I see results.

This was taken right before I began training. I was 134 lbs. with way too much body fat. I wanted to get back to my gymnastic physique.
Down to 120 lbs! Those abs are peeking through a little - lots of work to be done still...
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
I did not incorporate healthy eating. I felt that since I was working out so hard, I didn't need to watch my diet as closely. I've come to realize that working out is not necessarily the hard part...it's monitoring what you eat once you leave the gym.I did not incorporate healthy eating. What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
How your goals coming? still keeping your skin looking good? I decide on a winter goal a few weeks ago. Going to work on strength and getting soild for spring. Gained a lot of strength in the last few years.
Haha yay for NY, but I think we are talking about two different BU's. I go to Bryant U, your talking about Boston U I assume. The wellness center is just the name for our gym here.
Thats a mistake haha. BU wellness is at my college. When I'm home I work out in a NYSC in Carmel, NY and in my basement. I'm glad I found another New Yorker on here!
Been hitting the cardio on a cross trainer fairly hard this week. Will work on some weight training this weekend. Need to post progress photos..just not happy right now with my symmetry. Take care, Tim
