Overall Goal: I've gone from 295 to 255(ish) since last February. Now it's time to step it up a notch. My goal is to lose 30 lbs by the end of the year.

I've been focused on getting my energy levels up enough through cardio before taking on weight training. I have been walking (and swimming, in the summer) as well as changing my dietary habits in order to lose weight and shape up.
Why I Love It:
It's such a great way to destress. You know, my problem wasn't working out itself... the problem came from not making time for it, not putting myself out there to get it done. Whenever I've walked or what have you, I've enjoyed it once I get going.
How I Stay Motivated:
Sumo is definitely a motivator, at this point. I simply must get down to the middleweight division, by the tournament in June. I'm just glad I am enjoying the journey there. :)
BB Accomplishments:
So far, I've lost 40 lbs.
My BMI has dropped from 46.2 to 40
My body fat percentage has dropped from 55.9% to 40.1%
My dress size has dropped from 28W to 22W (and I'm fitting into -some- 20W now!)

Lost 80 lbs in 2003. Gained it back, because it was not maintained.
Lost 30 lbs in 2007. Gained it back, because I stopped monitoring my health.
Lost almost 45 lbs in 2008 so far. It shall remain monitored, and it shall be maintained, for good.
Ask me about my sumo~
This picture was taken of my friend and head of the Georgia Sumo Association, Packy, and myself showing a sumo move, during a demonstration at the Sakura Festival in Tuscaloosa. This is me at my top weight, likely over 300 lbs, when I didn't weigh myself...
Since I KNOW what my side looked like at 295 lbs, I am very pleased to see some improvement here. :) Again, a long ways to go, but I see a hint of feminine curves again. YAY! :D

Goal (Long):
My longterm goal is to have a good, strong shape of 175 by the time June rolls around. You see, I'm one of only a handful of female sumo wrestlers in the States, and in June is one of two national competitions.
Amateur sumo has weight divisions for men and women. I've always competed as a heavyweight. I want to make it to middleweight by the next competition. 176 is the mark between the top two divisions, for women competitors.
So I focused on getting strength back into my left shoulder. The good news? It is all healed up. I have full range of motion. When I went to visit family a couple of months ago, I was able to carry my luggage on my left side. Very good news...
