When I Started:
1979
How I Started:
Was interested in fitness and bodybuilding since I was a kid, but work and other matters kept me in the "recreational lifter" stage for a long time. When I hit my late 40s, realizing I was running out of time, I got serious to reach competition level...
Why I Love It:
I enjoy the personal challenge of improving myself physically while striving to maintain a healthy balance with all other aspects of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing other guys hitting it hard in the gym!
BB Accomplishments:
Judging my First comp, OCB Indiana 2009!
2nd in 2007 OCB Indiana Masters,
3rd in 2007 OCB Indiana Novice Short Class, 4th in short class, 40 and over Masters, 05 ABA Natural Indiana
Eating big and training hard to GROW! Plan to bulk until May, then cut for the OCB Indiana in September. Want to come in bigger and in my best conditioining yet.
Lance is the epitomy of a great bodybuilder. he stays focused, lives and breathes the sport. And he isn't afraid of intensely hard lifting. He has improved dramatically during each "off season". He will be a natural pro this year IMO.
Nate impressed me when I first saw him training, always using strict form even though he was just 19 at the time. Today he continues to kick my ass as a training partner. His natural genetics and hard work are gonna take him far in this sport!
Oh for sure! I've gotten a lot weaker and smaller since the 3 month absence but I'm gaining back the size and strength pretty quickly...not to mention my shoulder isn't bothering me bad...man it feels good to train again :)
Haha, yeah. I'm in my best condition ever at this weight. I'm aiming for novice middles. We'll see. I think I'll come in around 165lbs competition weight. If all goes according to plan a couple of my lifting partners will be competing there as well. I'm looking into maybe hitting the OCB Indy show that's coming up too.
No lat pics yet. I've been trying to get to a show ready status and have that paper thin skin look but so far that is proving to be very difficult. The desire and will power is there but the knowledge of how to do it hasn't arrived yet!
Thanks! Avi was actually taken at 8 days out. I'm definitely not that ripped still :P but definitely still pretty lean for being almost 8 weeks post contest :).
I just stopped by to wish you nothing but success as you work towards your fitness goal. Too many people think it can’t be done and so they don't even try but you have proven that with hard work and dedication it can be. Keep up the great work. I look forward to watching your continuing progress. You are an inspiration to so many
others including myself.
Hey, I'm not the one who said I was adding pictures. Besides, I want to do a sneak attack into my next competition anyway...Just kidding. I may add some new pics in a few weeks. I haven't forgotten the Circle City date. You still gunning for it?
