When I Started:
1979
How I Started:
Was interested in fitness and bodybuilding since I was a kid, but work and other matters kept me in the "recreational lifter" stage for a long time. When I hit my late 40s, realizing I was running out of time, I got serious to reach competition level...
Why I Love It:
I enjoy the personal challenge of improving myself physically while striving to maintain a healthy balance with all other aspects of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing other guys hitting it hard in the gym!
BB Accomplishments:
Judging my First comp, OCB Indiana 2009!
2nd in 2007 OCB Indiana Masters,
3rd in 2007 OCB Indiana Novice Short Class, 4th in short class, 40 and over Masters, 05 ABA Natural Indiana
Eating big and training hard to GROW! Plan to bulk until May, then cut for the OCB Indiana in September. Want to come in bigger and in my best conditioining yet.
Lance is the epitomy of a great bodybuilder. he stays focused, lives and breathes the sport. And he isn't afraid of intensely hard lifting. He has improved dramatically during each "off season". He will be a natural pro this year IMO.
Nate impressed me when I first saw him training, always using strict form even though he was just 19 at the time. Today he continues to kick my ass as a training partner. His natural genetics and hard work are gonna take him far in this sport!
It's going well...Not as fast as I'd like, but that's to be expected! I've been sticking to high reps and am getting stronger. I feel the neck getting more stable each week. I may end up stronger than ever!
230 is too much to fast. If I happened to get that big, I'd have to lose a ton fat and therefore would sacrifice a lot of muscle anyway. My goal now is to be the leanest 217 possible, then possibly start taking it up. Thats great you are making big gains. You still working out with Nate? Still working towards May?
Hey man - was fun - took 4th - which is cool - was a tuff class- guys all looked amazing ...carb up was good.. i am just exhausted!...now a week of free stuff then time to start working for the Buckeye!
I bet you are. I was feelin sluggish at about 200 last year. That's why i'm staying a little leaner this year. It's good you don't have to cut for the holidays!
Well I put some depleted weight back on immediately. I'm eating pretty clean and putting weight on slow and steady. I'm up 12-15lbs and a lot leaner now than when I was this weight on my cutting phase. So far so good. Keep it up!
Hey I really appreciate you taking your time to comment on my progress. I see your doing excellent with your competitions. Keep up the awesome work and good luck with your goals!
Yep, still training... I've been working out at a terribly piss poor high school gym by my house, but it's better than nothing. Just finished 10x10 and am back to my old routine. I'm logging a new supplement, CreaDyl, for DoubleT sports now (it's pretty good so far), and will be logging the new SizeOn for Gaspari in 2-3 weeks. Should be interesting to see how they help.
