I noticed an old friend of mine get from skinny to buff (x-mas of 2007). Seeing him motivated me to try and attain the same. This was the first time I actually saw someone I knew in real life getting that ripped, which was exactly how I wanted to look. I figured if someone I knew could do it, so could I... provided I eat healthy and train hard. Actually knowing someone in real life is a great motivational factor. So soon after, I started hitting the gym...
Why I Love It:
I enjoy working out to see the slow subtle changes to my physique. I hate the feeling just before going into the gym, but love the euphoric feeling I get after completing a killer workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
By watching bodybuilding video clips on YouTube.com and seeing all the great physiques on this site!
BB Accomplishments:
None. :p

Old picture I found back in June 2006 (before I started to workout). I was at Coco Cay beach in the Bahamas. I weighed about 144-146 lbs. At the time, I never realized how out of shape I was. I didn't feel good about myself. But I didn't start working out until 2 years later in 2008.
145.0 lbs.
After a shoulder & trap workout. I'm at the same weight as my first picture (before I worked out), but less bodyfat.
145.0 lbs
I want to have a body that I can be proud of. I don't want to settle for being average! I want to have a six pack (underneath the fat, I know it's there somewhere) and to feel more confident. I want my arms to look like I have a rat underneath my skin when I flex (bad metaphor I know). I would like to weigh somewhere around 160-170 pounds of lean muscle, with 8% or less bodyfat, and ideally be able to bench somewhere around 300 lbs or more. I know with full dedication I can do this!
This guy has a great overall physique. He is helpful and always open to sharing his advice to anyone who has questions. He provides great free advice and very informative videos! Great guy!
What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
What to look for: nice clean well-kept equipment, good variety of weights and machines that you use, good environment, good amount of weights. What to avoid: poorly kept equipment, distractions.

So last week I got my bf% measured again. I was happy to find out that I was still at 10% bf. Not too bad in my opinion considering that I'm bulking right now. I'm not sure how accurate these calipers are. But I guess consistency is the key. The last time I had my bf% measured, I...
i'm okay with my gym, i don't have that much money to switch gym, and i guess, once you're comfortable with the gym, it's hard to leave. however, i've been going to another gym when my friend got me free passes =p
didn't know price of membership can be negotiated, i am going to ask around to see if others are paying the same amount at my gym. are you at home or at work? man, i'm lazy, the office is nearly empty bc everyone is out sick.
bro, you're scaring gym goer away. i've been going to my friend gym, it's nice, and i can see myself go there everydays, but the price was close to 80-100 dollars per month... wish i had money falls off the tree :)
