I noticed an old friend of mine get from skinny to built (x-mas of 2007). Seeing him motivated me to try and attain the same. This was the first time I actually saw someone I knew in real life getting that ripped, which was exactly how I wanted to look. I figured if someone I knew could do it, so could I. Actually knowing someone in real life is a great motivational factor. So soon after, I started hitting the gym...
Why I Love It:
I enjoy working out to see my body slowly transform.
How I Stay Motivated:
By watching bodybuilding video clips on YouTube.com and seeing all the great physiques on this site!
BB Accomplishments:
None, because I've never competed. LOL, go figure. Not really training for "bodybuilding". Maybe someday... haha... =P

This is me after bulking up about 11 lbs. from my initial starting point (a couple of months prior). Front chest is flabby, fat, undefined... needs a lot of work all over.
152 lbs.
Arms are starting to tone up a little bit. But there is still a LOT of work that needs to be done. Will begin my cut phase very soon.
154.5 lbs.
I want to have a body that I can be proud of. I don't want to settle for being average! I want to have a six pack (underneath the fat, I know it's there somewhere) and to feel more confident. I want my arms to look like I have a rat underneath my skin when I flex (bad metaphor I know). I would like to weigh somewhere around 160-170 pounds of lean muscle, with 8% or less bodyfat, and ideally be able to bench somewhere around 300 lbs or more. I know with full dedication I can do this!
Which pro bodybuilder/fitness/figure competitor has the ideal physique? Why?
The first person(s) to come to mind is Flex Wheeler and Victor Martinez. But I haven't paid enough attention to all the pro bodybuilders out there yet to know which one I believe has the "ideal" physique. The first person(s) to come to mind is Flex Wheeler and Victor Martinez. How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
Somewhere between 8-12 usually. I try to go as heavy as I possibly can while keeping good form. This is the range I strive for until I've reached positive failure.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
30-60 seconds. It'll all depend on the routine & excercise. But in general I want to give it my all. If I rest too long, I feel like I'm not pushing myself to the limit.
Description: Here's a vid of me flexing.

I'm 3 weeks into my cut phase. So far I've dropped about 3 lbs. I've definately noticed some differences in terms of my fat levels dropping. But I'm still no where near being "ripped"... yet. Hopefully I will be somewhat soon though so that I don't lose any motivation. ...
I know I'm a bit heavier, a bit stronger, then when I was cutting, but I'm still pretty much lean.
Are you cutting? you said get ripped for the summer...ripped is cutting :)
not as much as I used to, i used to carry one of those bottle that hold the daily recommended amount and i used to consume about 2 of those...but i've cut back, right now i do about 1/2 of the bottle at work, then I drink some more at home, but i run to the bath room like crazy...wonder if something wrong with my bladder..lol.
What? We're Asian bro, you don't do that to your Asian brothers.
I've been loading carbs, today, is just veggie and proteins, and so is tomorrow and the next...I might eat a bit of whole grain but that is about it.
how about you?
we're eating the same things bro. i thought you have some asian secret recipe or something hahaha j/k what are you working on today? i think I'm going to do BACK!!!
What do you usually get at a super market?
Today, i picked up bananas and apples, and lean turkey sausages (98% lean), chicken flavor from McCormick (it's herbs, and seasoning), eggs, whole grain bagels and two bags of frozen veggies (broccoli)
For now, I do try to eat lean, and avoid food that I don't feel serve the body. However, sometime I do feel the craving for chips and soda, and on those day, I just eat them...I'm afraid if I do too extreme I would quit.
What about you? Have diet have you tried?
I haven't try Kentosis diet, and Carb Cycling. In my head, I know what they are, but to me, it's a bit complicated. It's hard enough for me to remind myself to pop Multivitamin lol :) I might try Carb cycling one of these days.
I Squat with a 35lbs plates on both side today, wasn't bad, the only problem I have is that I still feel my form is incorrect. I noticed my trainer did Squat very easy, and his form is STRONG, on the other hand, i have a bit of difficult time balancing the bar...He said that is because I'm not use to the form yet. Oh yea, my heart rate beats like it's about to pop out.
Thanks bro.
It wasn't really hard. Just gotta get your kitchen straight....throw out all the crap and stop eating out with friends. You just gotta go hardcore or don't do it at all. You're bound to slip up if you eat healthy "most" of the time. I actually went vegan, raw and then healthy like I am now. Raw diet is the hardest on earth to do so everything else is easy.
Thanks bro...actually have a quick video I did as well.
I now workout 5-6 days a week...preferably 6 if I can. Every other day weights and try everyday until end of July to do morning cardio.
I ate an apple a day, I'm going to add more fruits in my diet then...maybe, like you said, it would kill the tastes for sweet.
how training going for you? where your new progress picture ? :)
