When I Started:

How I Started:
I always had a few dumbbells at home, and worked out with those on and off. But kiteboarding really works your upper body and I started seeing results so I joined a gym, decided to try to lose some bodyfat and get ripped!
Why I Love It:
I love being able to see the results of disciplined eating and working out. It really makes it worth the effort. I also know that this lifestyle is good for general health and I can feel it improving my other sports! (Kiting, field hockey, cycling) I look forward to my workouts as I find them stress relieving and I feel great afterwards.
How I Stay Motivated:
Compliments from the others at school, and heads turned on the beach really make you stick with the program!
Continue to add lean mass while remaining injury free
Goal (Long):
I have an AC joint problem in my right shoulder,
which has made working out rather tough these last few months.
I want to add mass while keeping the shoulder healthy
I especially want to work on my arms.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 3 kg

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I just think about the workout before i go and thats enough to get me energised! Also thinking that after the workout you will be a step closer to your perfect physique.
you have some rockin' cities. 3 trips to SA --i've visited jberg, durban and capetown. did a helicopter ride over 12 deciples and table mountain. breathtaking. even managed a couple of trips to the bush. last time i happened to be in the same hotel as the Springboks. those guys are beasts!definitely one of my favorites.
great backshot man--what part of SA you from? if you're a kite surfer you must live in a coastal city --Durbhan or Cape Town? I visited SA 3x--love it!
Probably 95-98% of bodybuilders use lower reps for growth and bulking. They only use high reps the last week or so of pre-contest training to maintain and tighten.
I'd definitely suggest hitting the lower rep counts.....5-8 reps.
Man my chest is my stubborn area. I just hit it HARD last night and its tore up right now. Switched to slow isolation reps with long pauses at peak plus doing a compound movements after (prefatigue supersetting). I'm doing the same thing for my legs. Is working great so far.
What's your plan?
Wish I was on vacation....was just chatting with my gf about planning something.
Training going very well bro...my body seems to have decided to get bigger instead of cutting more as far as my abs are concerned so I'm upping the cardio. Just got done actually. Can't complain about everything getting bigger though!
