5K & Me

It took me 30 minutes to run two miles (on my treadmill).  I started by doing a 5 minute warm up walk at 3 mph.  I then ran for 2 minutes at 5 mph and switched to walking for 1 minute at 3 mph until I reached 30 minutes.

 

The coaches at Feet Fleet who are helping us train for the 5K say don’t worry about miles but my military mind worries about how fast I can run my 2 miles. J  As an FYI to myself I would need to be done with my 2 miles at a minimum of 20:30 to pass my APFT-run portion!

end day 1 of detox

Ok, so seriously I am so blessed to have had a good evening.  I went grocery shopping and resisted all the extras.  I have frozen grapes in the fridge that I am ignoring since it is already 10 pm.  I am trying to think about after my 10 days are up.  Am I going back to meat?  I think I may go for eating meat when I feel like it but not make it an everyday thing.  I feel so much lighter when I'm not loaded down with animal protein.  I just have to make sure that I am getting in the b vitamins and the iron.  I did a Biggest Loser workout this evening also....

10 day detox

I'll be detox for the next 10 days.  I will consume no meat, no white products, and no packaged snacks foods. Today is day 1 and I feel ok.  Dinner will be the test! Lord give me strength to stick it out.
