How I Started:
Late high school/early college - I went to the gym with my Dad. He showed me how to use some of the weight machines. I also attended the Step Aerobic classes. Now I give my Dad advice :)
Why I Love It:
First and foremost, training just makes me feel really good inside and out! I leave the gym glowing emotionally and physically. Secondly, aside from "Mom", "Wife", and "Career Woman", training is my own, unique identity and time spent doing it is "my" time.
How I Stay Motivated:
There are several things that motivate me, but I'll narrow it down to a three: 1. I feel better about myself and manage stress better when I've had a good workout to start the day. 2. I want to set a good example for my son so he views exercise just as important as brushing your teeth. 3. I want my husband to be proud that his wife keeps in tip-top shape, and his friends ask if they can refer their wives to me for advice on how to do the same.
BB Accomplishments:
I really have no desire to compete at this point in my life, but I do want to make fitness my fulltime career. Up until my sophomore and junior years in college, I was not the fitness freak I am today. And as a child, I was considered "chubby". So the fact that people I know today never believe me when I say that is a huge accomplishment for me. I even started teaching group fitness and earned my Group Fitness Instructor certification through ACE. So my accomplishment are more around helping/influencing others by being an example.

Thanks for the suggestions. Now that I take a good look at it, I probably could have left out the south beach bars (140 cal each) since I already had a protein (whey) and Carb (apple) source in those meals. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
