When I Started:
Jul, 2006
How I Started:
I was in Korea for a year, and put on about 30 pounds of fat from drinking all the time, living on Popeye's and Burger King, and not exercising at all. When I could barely pass the Air Force PT test I realized I needed to make serious changes in my lifestyle to get back into shape.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy the effort that goes into the gym. I relish the way I feel after I work out - it's an exhaustion that feels "clean". It's cathartic, and it helps me deal with any other issues I encounter. It's very difficult to adequately put into words, but I'm sure everyone in the site knows what I'm talking about.
How I Stay Motivated:
Measuring. Weighing. Studying the mirror. Slowly and steadily increasing poundages I move. Focusing on all the little improvements keep me going.
BB Accomplishments:
So far, perseverence. I hurt my shoulder doing incline barbell press about a year ago, and I managed to work through it, I'm back on track, and ready to throw some steel around again.
This was me back in August. I had cut down from about 215 pounds and about 20% bodyfat to 178 pounds and about 11% bodyfat by the time this picture was taken.
I'm getting back into amateur boxing again. Right now I'd be a light heavyweight, so I'm walking around at about 182 which means I can make the 175 limit quite easily. I need to work on my cardio, while steadily building muscle to make the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds. I'm also starting fencing, which will help with my explosiveness and cardio. The overarching goal is simply to be healthier and more athletic.
Well, as most of you can probably see it's been a hell of a long time since I last added an entry to my blog. So sue me. I've been busy. That's not to say I haven't still been going to the gym, it's just that work and personal shit have taken up all my time over the past few months and not left...
Yeah trying to get the weight off quick after being inspired by seeing the people in NOLA.
NO2 is not cheap at a GNC so I buy it here at BB.com. I caught a great sale on the 180 count NO2 Black - buy 2 and get 1 free. I never heard of Size On before.
I try that with my girl sometimes on the off chance that she will sleep in, but you know she never does! I just try to make sure that I have a tired child by the end of the day! :)
Thank you. well lets hope we get healed quick. I now seem to be coming down with a cold or something, lump in my throat and its sore..you know how it is ...

It's only the old bag checking up on you. Nice one but I want more pictures. One new one doesn't do it! There is always time to pursue something worthwhile! Or so I have been told.
Hi, I'm ok getting tired from lower carb diet but have to do it! My b-day tomorrow, I'll be 28 and already have a white hair!!!! I know you have your ideal for yourself but you still look great :)
