How I Started:
At 16 I was 5'10" and 145lbs. I didn't want to be skinny and weak so I started lifting weights at home and then the gym. Nine years later I was talked into competing, loved it and became hooked.
Why I Love It:
Helps release stress and improves my mental attitude, I don't know what else I would do if I didn't workout. I love the way it feels plus being able to transform and sculpt my body into a piece of artwork is awesome.
How I Stay Motivated:
I made it part of my life syle,it's not something I have to force myself to do. I've been bodybiulding for 20 years and when I don't go to the gym I feel sick and depressed. I'm addicted I guess.

Stay fit and healty, pushing heavy wieghts around doesn't matter so much anymore now that I'm getting older as much as looking good and staying lean does, although lifting heavy is fun to do but it trashes my joints.
. I tried this fat loading thing that seems to be the new fad in my latest competition, I ate two jars of peanut butter, hamburger and some cream cheese the Friday before the show. I didn't notice much of a difference, no super vascularity, no extreme fullness of the muscle and no...
I don't think the ABA gets much repeat business. My first show was with them in 2005 and based on that experience and seeing my buds also screwed in subsequent shows, I am resolved NEVER to give Denny Kakos and crew another dime of my money. This thread offers a bit more insight...

They had 79 at the Circle City, largest natural show ever in Indiana. The ABA show is much smaller, but draws strong competitors. I think you will place high there, and hope you are doing the novice and open. I am going to see buds at the NPC Indpls next Saturday, so I won't get to see you compete.
I was talking with Jen Dale, the local OCB promoter (also helps get gals ready to do figure). She said one of her gals had pre-registered for the ABA show and they only had a few competitors lined up. To be honest, I'm not fond of how Denny Kakos operates the ABA anyway.
Your striations above the obliques show how lean u r. How do your ham glute tie ins look? Is the ABA comp in Noblesville still happening? They delayed it last year to September...
I just wanted to say that you are ripped. if I had a problem going to the gym. you are the type of people that inspire me to keep going. my goals say I want to look like that. It does not happen over night. if I could compete in mr grand traverse some day and move on from that, keep it the way of life for my family and me.
Thoughts for Today:
Life is what I make of it.
I have control over my own life.
I gain strength from struggles I have won.
I gain wisdom from my experiences.
I gain joy from the love in my own heart.
Create a Great day!
