I dabbled here and there after high school and got superb "newbie gains". I started again when I decided that I wanted to be a personal trainer.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of the air pumping in and out of my lungs when I'm doing cardio. I love the feeling of my heart pumping and letting my blood flow freely and powerfully through my veins like a white water river. I like the sight of veins popping out of my skin while I'm lifting.
I feel alive. I feel like a human being was meant to feel.
How I Stay Motivated:
I remember how I looked and felt when I was out of shape. I try to think about my future. I don't want to be a decrepid old man when I'm in my 60's. I want to be like Jack Lalanne and Neil Spruce. If I'm not healthy now, God knows what I'll feel like when I'm a senior citizen. Now that I'm older and more mature, I train and eat with the future in mind. I'm not solely focused on the here and now like I was when I was 20.
BB Accomplishments:
I can give you real time stats as to how many calories I've comsumed so far at any given point in the day!

After dinner I had ice cream. Fell asleep and watched TV. Woke up in my mother's arms. Grandma take me home.
for absolutely no reason. Some guy made a thread about women not being allowed to weight train. One of the members called him a troll. I "lol'd" and told that member I thought she was funny. Some mod's take their job a bit too seriously.
