Comments: This show was a great way to end my season. In 2005, this is the same stage that convinced me to start competing. It was a very surreal experience to not only have made it to the stage, but been able to finish in 2nd place!

Comments: It was a great feeling to finish 1st. Considering all that happened during my training. Addiitonal to be able to lean out as much as I did in the 2 weeks following my last show was pretty amazing. I just decided to go fot it .... and I'm happy that the time and effort paid off.

Comments: This was my first show for this season, and it was quite the journey to get here. The most significant event that happened was that I found out I was pregnant about 15 weeks out. I was almost 6 full weeks along when I found out. I stopped training of course, but unfortunately miscarried. Not wanting everything to be a total loss, I decided to pick up where I left off with the training the day after my D&C. The struggle with preparation has been with the added weight gain from the pregnancy and my hormones as my body will take some time to stabilize. It was about 6 weeks before my HCG levels went down. It made it very difficult to get as lean as I needed to be in the top spot.

Comments: It was my first competition and what an awesome journey it was! I am normally very disciplined individual, so having to stick to the diet was a challenge, but one that I was able to conquer with no problem.

As I weight train and do cardio all the time, the program my trainer had me on was exciting to follow as it was new and different.

The Organization I competed under at the time was NGA. It was the first time they had a show in Canada, and it went pretty well. Shaun Campbell and Desmona Cole were the show organizers, and they've now started their own organization call IDFA (http://www.idfa.ca/).

I am now preparing for my next shows and it is so much easier this time around as I know what to expect. This time, I am making sure to journal my journal, take progress pics and take the time to enjoy the prep process.
