Serious training started around November of '07 but I was on and off at the gym since I was 18. I've been playing soccer since I was 5 but I was always the chubby kid. Back in 2006, I decided to go back playing soccer and got in touch with my goalkeeper side. I felt I was too slow and prone to injury a LOT. I eventually fractured my right elbow during a diving save so I was out of soccer. I decided to work out my soccer muscles and saw progress (it was all legs and abs exercises that I did and some cardio) so I figured to just go all the way and get into full body training when my arm got better. Been lifting every since. :)
Why I Love It:
It's my sanctuary. It gives me a sense of purpose and focus. Seeing the effects of CONSISTENT training with proper nutrition is mind-blowing!
How I Stay Motivated:
Let's face it... people make fun of fat people. I was the one always singled out and made fun of because of my being overweight. For every rep I make, for every mile I run... I dedicate it to all those who didn't think I can actually change my body and take control of my life.
BB Accomplishments:
Since I play goalkeeper... My own personal accomplishments are building up my soccer muscles. End product: I'm faster, more powerful, less prone to injury, and yes... I'm one of the scariest goalkeepers you'll ever see on the pitch.

Okay, this might sound stupid and bordering on embarrassing for me but....
... does anyone know how to tell if the skin (lower belly area) is loose or if it's a jelly roll of fat? If it's loose skin (due to rapid fat loss), how can I lose it without going through surgery?

I suggest you go look it up.....you can buy pure maltodextrin (basically a pure sugar drink to replenish energy) without all the crap that comes along with gatorade/powerade and the high fructose corn syrup + colorings.
You can mix with some aminos and it'll be perfect for your purposes. Trust me bro. Those colorings and HFCS didn't exist probably 50 yrs ago.....it ain't good for you.
well i actually havent got my plan yet i just bought one from Catherinefitness.com she's gonna help me out =) but im just working out with my brother right now and eating clean i gotta put new pics up lol.
Ya those sports drinks are killer with sodium and especially high fructose corn syrup. It's better that you mix your own maltodextrin drinks or use Endurox R4 (marathon runners use it).
Hey there! Thanks for the tips. I am currently taking NO Xplode for that extra pump and it gets me through those tough workouts. Yea I have decided that I really need to watch what I am eating. I intake a lot of carbs, usually complex but I just eat them at bad times of the day. Any who what is your long term goal? Have a great day and train hard!
