Overall Goal: Get stronger again, actually be able to see my abs, to deter my daughter from trying to play with mama's "flabby arms" (not all that flabby but enough according to my girl).

It's amazing what one look in the mirror can do for your motivation.

How I Started:
originally started on that Total Gym. Once I outgrew it, switched to free weights.
Why I Love It:
I love the empowering feeling that as I get stronger physically I also get stronger mentally - not being a weak and helpless woman that needs a man to move something heavy.
How I Stay Motivated:
I keep in mind that if I give up - my daughter will see that and think it's okay to give up on things in life that seem difficult.

Goal (Long):
Last time I was at the doctor's the scale went up 10 lbs. I need to amp up my fitness again and rev up my metabolism that is apparently starting to slow down.
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
My motivation in myself helps me to keep my child motivated to stay active. We go on hikes together - though she can't hike as far and as fast as I tend to on my own.

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
Looking into going to college for Strength Training Certification Program (at least - might change my mind and go for Associate Degree).
Not bad. Just working hard to get to my goal. I have been trying to prevent colds/flus by taking quercitin. I read that it was good when taking with vitamin C. So far so good. Knock on wood!
