My husband who was my boyfriend at the time dared me too and then told me I would never follow through.
I was an average figure.. typical 34-35% bodyfat for someone who never workout out. I was a ballerina for years and once I gave it up, I was not active as much. So in 2002, when my now husband at the time said I would buy a membership but never go to the gym, I proved him wrong oct 30th of that year. I have been training ever since.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling that I get when I work out, that adrenaline rush. I also, am proud of myself when I look at the results of all the hard work that I have dedicated to the sport.
I recent graduated from Arizona State and I am a certified spin instructor.
My passion is for people and encouraging them to stay fit and healthy, especially minority women of all colors, for that is a population all to under represented in the fitness industry and health industry. That is my passion for this industry, being influential and motivating other people to do what it is that a majority of the population is scared of.. taking care of themselves...... well isn't it ironic.. don't cha think!!!
How I Stay Motivated:
My 2 1/2 year old son.. I gained 70 pounds when I was pregnant. I wanted to compete in fitness prior to pregnancy. I couldnt workout per doc orders so I gained a lot of weight. I went from a size 2 to a size 16... CRAZY!!! I promised myself that I would bounce back stronger than ever. and now, I am back to my size before, stronger and competing in bodybuilding/figure this fall. Cause there is no way I can do a one arm push up right now! (been bouncing back and forth)
I have an amazing trainer out of Las Vegas who I am working with. He keeps me going and working hard. Its important to have that kind of relationship with your trainer. My other trainer and posing coach is Tricia Travis is out of Phoenix. She is competing in July in USAs as well. She is getting me ready for June 30th. She survived a traumatic car wreck that put her out of competitions for about a year and a half, so now she is back looking amazing! Both are very amazing people whom I adore and cannot imagine what my show would be without.
BB Accomplishments:
getting a sixpack! cardio cardio cardio right!!!
just staying fit, eating right, and in the gym are my major accomplishments. the average person does not do all that, so I have respect for ALL my collegues in the biz. It takes dedication and sweat, tears, and discipline to get there!!! muah to everyone!
xoxo

It is amazing what breast augmentation can do and hard work in the gym. This was before I got the girls and also before I started intense training. Whoa!!
all that work brought me to here!! crazy huh! muah! xoxo
I hope one day to obtain my procard, but I am not holding my breath. I want to be successful in the health and fitness industry and promote healthy living, especially for black women. Health magazines and the fitness industry has not really shown an interest in winning a black female audience and my goal in the long run is to do so!!!I I recently qualified for nationals but I will not do a national show until the end of the year to have time to gain some mass on this body oh mine!!! :)
