I was never interested in working out until when I reached 9th grade. I tried all types of sports such as basketball, soccer, track&field, paddling, surfing, softball. I also used to dance every day in high school. I was in the dance team for high school and was in the dance company.
I would just go to 24 hour fitness and run 5 miles three days a week and eat whatever the heck i wanted. I would eat a pint of ice cream in one sitting. Because of that, I never achieved anything.
Why I Love It:
I love after result of working out. I've never gotten serious about my diet before. I am never consistent with my workout and eating. I know nothing about eating right and working out although I go to the gym quite often. Most of the time, I'm on the treadmill 247 until i burn off about 600 calories. I don't put too much emphasis on weight lifting. I don't want to bulk up my muscles. It's quite easy for me to bulk up.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading oxygen magazine, ritually checking Bodyspace, thinking of all the nice clothes I get to wear
I want to lose 5-10 lbs and gain solid 5 lbs of pure muscle. I foremost want to lose my belly fat and my love handles(!!). My problem areas are my upper and lower back.
I have high level of stress right now due to summer school. My teacher is cynical, demanding and is nit picky. He treats us like we go to Harvard or something and expects us to write a perfect paper. He always delays on returning essays and never clearly explains our projects. He is...

Hope all is well with you and I'd love to hear more about how you're training is going. Oh, and the "i'm squishy" line definitely made me laugh ... you look awesome, not "squishy" lol
Thanks for the comment!
I also have been trying to let go of candies for ages! Could stop eating even pizza, but not sugar goods... why do them have to be so good?! =D
Yep, diet is the HARD part (training is the easy thing, IMO). And yeah, cardio is not that big a part (I only do 20 minutes a day, if that), and weights 4-5 times a week for 40-45 minutes.
IMO, cardio is not that important (unless you're trying to maintain/improve cardiovascular fitness, or are an athlete involved in sports training). Do some reading and research. Good luck in your goal.
