I've haven't been able to workout for atleast 2 1/2 weeks because of all the schoolwork i've been having. I haven't been feelling that well because of it,...I hope that my teachers will stop giving me soooo much homework, so that I can be hitting the gym more often.*(How many young...
BTW, my daughter loves to swim too. She just started after quitting gymnastics. She'd like to go on team. She can also beat me in pull ups. She can do 10 and I've only gotten 6! Bodybuilding and eating healthy makes me feel so good and I feel so much better now than I have for years. Keep up the good work, enjoy the journey, and show us updates on the pics and progress when you can.
Your mom seems to be a very good influence on you - like seeing yous eating tuna together! I have 3 kids. My son is 17 and he goes to Golds also. He's been going since last July on and off, more on now, and his arms have gotten nice - about 15 inches. People ask if he does steroids, but he doesn't! My daughter is 13 & was a gymnast for 7 yrs. but quit and now does weight training. She has abs, I'm jealous! She's joining us at Gold's this summer when she is 14.
Hi Justin. Like seeing Golds on your tshirt. That's my gym too. Your mom is on my friends list and I saw you in her pics - thought I'd write. I didn't start bodybuilding till last year at age 46. Wish someone would have gotten me into it at a younger age. I might not have ended up almost 80 lbs overweight after having children. Very proud of you and it sounds like everyone says you are a hard worker. Great Job!
Bud..god to see a kid today getting of his butt and doing something other than play videogames!! Rock on!
Homework is not a bad thing but here is something I do when the paperwork piles up.
when you are doing the work just keep a clock handy and every 5 to 10 minits do as many bodyweight squqts or pushups that you can back and forth. You will have a workout before you know it!!
Hey bud I think you're doing great. Just remember to take it slow, your body has a lot of "natural" growing to do still. If you feel cramped for time, just do pushups and pullups everywhere and every chance you get. You're doing great though... keep it up.
Hey Justin,
Your mom tells me you made the swim team! Congratulations! With you starting weight training already you are going to be miles ahead of the others. I'll be cheering you on from here in Ontario! :-)
If you keep working, by the time you get to high school you will be beating up all the meat heads at your school and dating all their girlfriends! Keep it up lil bro, it WILL pay off. Trust me!
Hey big man hope your holiday and weekend went well keep training hard looking forward to seeing your results your friend industrialfreak "F*ck the beach muscles, bring on the freak muscles"
Justin, I started when I was about 12 or 13 years old and I am now almost 47 (next month). I never competed with anyone but myself. I learned how to work out on my own and not depend upon anyone else, and I stayed with it for roughly 33 years. I feel great too!
It takes time, patience, a lot of work, and not letting yourself be discouraged in the least. Know that every day you do it you are for sure making progress whether you see or feel it or not.
Don't ever quit!
