How I Started:
I started working out at the age of 14 when I thought I was fat. I joined my first gym at 16 and qualified as a group fitness instructor in 1998. I taught group fitness for 8 years before taking a break. It is something I'd like to get back into in the near future.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel alive.
How I Stay Motivated:
I think about what I want to achieve. I also remind myself that only I control what goes into my body.

I have yo-yoed in weight ever since I gave birth to my son 12 years ago. I've been skinny, curvy, plump and plain old fat.
I got in reasonable shape about a year ago but got a knee injury and couldn't train for about 3 months. It was the start of a vicious circle as I ate to feel better, which made me feel like crap, so I ate to cheer myself up.
Since February, I have been training hard and eating clean. I have lost 26lb so far and 19.5" all over. As I have been training with weights for about 2 years, I have a pretty good muscle base so I am focusing on losing fat for now.
I was advised to carb cycle to see if it helps my fat loss and it is really suiting me. I never thought I could *do* low carb but I surprised myself.
