As any woman my age, I'm concerned with the weight gain. I saw some post on another forum (different topic); body4life and this website were mentioned. I started lurking, followed some advice I gathered from different posts. I saw some changes and now I'm hooked.

It's easy to look okay in clothes that I've bought to accomodate my new, heavier zize. But it's time to look at myself in clothes that I know I should be wearing, since they belong to me, but I've "outgrown" over the last 2 yrs. Not pretty, but the truth can be ugly. (lol)
Pictures don't lie. I don't really see any progress. I know it's my diet. So this week I am really going to focus on portion control. Obviously, clean doesn't equate to "all you can eat".
I'm not sure what to expect yet. My main goal now is to take my time...educate myself and make changes that I'm willing to continue. I want to actually change my lifestyle to accomodate whatever gains I make so that I can maintain for a lifetime.
What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
Minimum seasoning to actually taste the food. And when it comes to salad, a large variety of veggies.

What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
Just starting to eat clean (week1), so meals consist of:
1. Whey Protein (either 2 scoops or 1 scoop w/fruit)
2. Tuna and green Salad
3. 1/4 dry roasted unsalted nuts or raw almonds and raisins
4. ~4 oz chicken, veggies, and rice, baked yam or fruit
5. Tuna, chicken or fish, veggies

I'm sorry to hear about your sad occasion, I'll keep you in my prayers. You got back on track, so that's what's important. I am also an "emotional eater", so I know what you are going through.
That's the sad part is that I JUST GOT GLASSES! Guess it's true that old saying that we're our own worst critic. Thanks for the boost though! It'll carry me through the next hour of grueling, hard-core weightlifting and cardio session that I'm gonna have. Save some Advil fer meeeeeeee!

Good Job! Just take it day by day (someone on this site gave me that advice!) I'm also working on the nutrition, and I logged six straight w/o days! Today is my rest day!

I'm truly hoping that once we are fit, the hourglass will just POP on out! You are so right, this is a blessing and a curse! I STILL can't find jeans that fit my butt and thighs, but aren't bagging around my waist. I guess we are just BLESSED! :) What I'm hoping to see is some space btwn my thighs - I haven't had that since I was in high school!
