How I Started:
I did gymnastics in high school, but had no idea about nutrition or proper weight training. When I got to college, I missed working out but knew that I needed to take my nutrition and training to the next level in order to achieve the results I never saw while doing gymnastics. Now my goal is to compete in a fitness competition once I graduate.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I look and feel! I've never felt good in my own body, and working out gives me the confidence to flaunt what I've got! I love the idea of being physically capable of doing anything I put my mind to.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am working hard towards the day when I'm done with college and can focus on competing. Every day I work harder, I'll be one step closer to getting on that stage!!

What Juls88 Is Up To:
Oct 29, 2009
Juls88changed Weight from 135 lbs. to 145 lbs., a 10 lb. gain in 375 days
unfortunately, i broke my foot over spring break, so i've just been hitting the weights again after 2 weeks off, and i'm still not allowed to do any intense cardio, so progress is not going as well as i'd hoped - this better heal quickly!!
My goal right now is to step up my diet and lean out, especially in my lower half.
Goal (Long):
I was never very successful as a gymnast, and was never comfortable in my own body, but made no effort to change my diet or exercise habits. When I got to college, I acquired a binging habit that I am trying to get under control. I want to be strong, fit, healthy, and feel like I can do anything with my body! I love training and am always finding new ways to challenge my body, but right now, I'm focused on eating clean. Any advice is welcome!
