I started my freshman year in HS when a friend's dad bought a weight set. Weight lifting came very naturally to me. I was able to bench press 225lbs that first day, out lifting my friend's father. It was the most exciting thing for me, being a heavier kid and this was something I was good at. From that day on it was a staple in my life.
Why I Love It:
The feel of it. There's nothing like the feeling during and after a workout. It's a mixture of pleasure and pain in the perfect dosages.
How I Stay Motivated:
My Wife is my motivation, I want to get stay in shape to keep that sexy woman in my life! I want to continue training and compete in more Triathlons and other types of races.
BB Accomplishments:
Muddy Buddy 2008 3rd Place BEAST Category

Pain is just weakness leaving the body
I'm a paper man cut into shreads with my own pair of scissors.
Goal (Long):
I'm continually training so that I won't be the "fat guy" in all these races that I compete in. I'm battling against my body type to get rid of the fat on my stomach. Funny quote: "I just just want to loose enough weight so that my belly doesn't jiggle when I brush my teeth."
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 25 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
11%

Well this is just fan-freaking-tastic. Once again here I sit all the way back up above my original start weight. This is like an annual thing with me. I just can't seem to shake. I spend 3/4 of the year kicking my ass in to shape and then it all falls to shit. Here I sit at 258 the...
hey jordan - saw an old post of yours about jerky you made in a dehydrator. i was wonderin how long it takes to make a batch?? how much you can make at one time, do you recommend a certain brand machine etc? any info is greatly appreciated - i need some new snacks ASAP dude!
Thanks for the comment! Does your wife work out? If she's prego and she used to work out, tell her to keep it up! There's a major uphill at the end of the pregnancy to prepare for. Especially if she wants to deliver naturally! On top of that, it's easier to get back into shape after.....never skipping a beat. I don't really work out that hard now that I'm pregnant, but that's cuz I temporarily have different goals. Keep up the good work my friend!
i haven't really ridden too many others, but when i did the research on what you get with a felt for the cost, it was a no brainer! oh, i did ride a bianchi.. wasn't crazy about it once i rode my felt.. if that the F or Z series that you have?
The trails up here in Idaho are some of the best in the west. A combination between open dry-pack and forested single track. The summers are tough to ride in, though. It gets to over 100 degrees with sometimes no shade to ride in. We have a great inter-linking trail system. check it out: ridgetorivers.org
ah man, they're awesome. Great downhills... 20-30 foot steep down hills. Alot of technical riding, rock gardens... its a mix of everything. I work 5 or 6 days a week, but i ride almost every weekend.
Sounds like you're doing good with your weight loss, but make sure you're not cutting to many carbs, or you'll body will shut out fat loss. A couple times a week you should down a crap load of carbs. I dropped over 71 lbs in 3 months eating like a horse, but I train alot as well. So good luck man.
Hey! Cool bike video! I luv riding the trails & hucking cliffs, etc when & wherever I can/find. It's hard in SW Fl though! Keep it up! If you ever get to Vero Bch. they have a awesome trail there. Take care.
