How I Started:
With friends, wanted to build up a little. Joined a gym and the addiction began.
Why I Love It:
The results, that's why. Setting goals and then accomplishing them, the intensity of the workouts. Seriously, working out / weight training kicks my ass, sometimes it sucks, but the results and how good you feel about yourself make the pain, sweat and long hours in the gym worth it!
How I Stay Motivated:
seeing all the positive influences at the gym, all the pretty women here in San Diego are good motivation, mental image of what I want to look and feel like when I reach my goals, my Ipod - loud music!

Start of my new program/diet. Here, 223lbs, no abs, small chest and arms, shoulders flat. Putting on mass/muscle has been difficult but I wasn't training right. I eventually want to be a cut, 230lbs. Started new diet and training program, see what progress is made in 90 days.
Still in "bulking phase" and adding mass. Here 229lbs. Gained 9lbs and lost 3 inches on waist in 60 days! Goal is 230-235 and shredded.
235lbs - lean, muscular build, healthy diet and lifestyle.
Goal (Long):
I want to fill out and gain some size, tighten up my midsection. I'm 6'3 and have always had a slim / athletic build, I'm a "hard gainer". I want to gain mass, then tone it up, be a solid 235lbs with around 15% bodyfat. Focusing on all body parts but mainly arms, legs, back, chest, shoulders, butt and abs. Heck, I'm focusing on everything! I'm giving myself 90 days of intense, disciplined workout scheduling and diet and see where I'm at come July 29th '09. My diet has changed a lot - around 4500 calories a day and 300-350 grams of protein a day. Diet for me is very important to my growth, clean eating and clean living.
