When I Started:
Jan, 2007
How I Started:
In school I played a lot of sports, especially hockey. In gym class we learned some exercises with weights and stuff that really worked, we called them supersets. I continued doing the supersets in my basement with one barbell to stay in shape for hockey and other sports. I worked out a couple of times a week. I wasn't doing too bad, but knew that I could do much better. In January 2007 I decided to change my diet and work harder. This worked! I lost a lot of fat and gained muscle. I hope to continue until a cannot do it anymore.
Why I Love It:
Staying healthy and in shape is a high priority for me, and hopefully I will live a long and healthy life. I really enjoy the high achieved after a hard workout or run. It's a great feeling and good for you too.
How I Stay Motivated:
My wife and kids help me stay motivated. I have three daughters and I need to look strong (tough??) to keep those insincere boys away. My friends and co workers motivate me as well. My daughter bought me a subscription to Men's Fitness a few years ago. That magazine has taught me new things about diet and exercise and motivated me to do better, especially this past year.
BB Accomplishments:
In this past year I have lost about 25 Lbs and am back at the weight I was about 25 years ago. I started doing windsprints and this has really helped. When I was 17 in basic military training I got the record for 97 push ups in that season. Now I can do over 110 and climbing. I have never taken any steroids or supplements, just eating and living naturally. I hope to keep getting in better shape as long as I can.
What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
Healthy food tastes great just the way it is. Once you start eating it, then some of the unhealthy stuff that you used to eat doesn't taste so good anymore.

What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
My favourite is yogurt mixed with blueberries, milk, and some egg white powder.
John, Thanks for the great compliment and ratings on my latest pics. You are the only one to pick up on why I liked the one shot so well. Thanks for making my day. Looking forward to seeing an update from you with your outstanding development. See you soon, bro!
Thank you for leaving a comment and/or rating on one of my pics recently. At 57 years of age, I might be getting on a little bit, but I can still have my aspirations, goals and fitness dreams.
Age is but a number ... not a barrier.
Good luck with your future aspirations etc etc.
Hi John, I just want to thank you for your positive comments/ratings on my pics. It means a lot that you took the time to check 'em out! You are looking JACKED! Keep up the hard work. ~Brooke
