JohnSpinazzola 5 mile run and heavy deadlifts on a 21 hour fast. Time to eat. I can eat what ever I like tonight 3000 calories left and 3 hr eating window

  • Does the fasting work. If I don't eat like every 3 hours I get so tired and just want to sleep. Just curious.

  • It's worked for me for cutting weight. I started 6 weeks into the 12 week transformation challenge. After losing 20 lbs I only lost 2 lbs in 2 weeks even upping cardio didn't help. Switched to intermittent fasting and lost 21 lbs last 6 weeks. Who knows if I stuck with 6 meals a day I may have gotten same results. For me it fits my job a lot better I work 12 hr shifts in a clean room no food or drinks allowed. So not having to constantly go out to break is nice. I use to get migraines a lot and I was worried the fasting would trigger them but it hasn't.

    I typically do 16 to 18 he fasts. I knew I was going out to eat after work so pushed it longer today and I was fine. I like the feeling of controlling my hunger. Some mornings I wake up hungry and it's a battle but 16 or 18 hrs later I have to remind myself to eat cause I'm no longer hungry.

JohnSpinazzola Checked my HR on blood pressure machine at work. HR at 48 BPM the real benifit of getting in shape. New goal get my BPM lower than my age.

I had too many situations come up with working 14-16 hrs a day during the last 3 weeks of challenge and a bout of shoulder bursitis, so I did not officially finish, but I have continued to eat clean and get cardio in when permitted. For me, sleeping requires discipline...alcohol screws with getting a restful sleep, drinking too much water disturbs/interrupts sleep, watching exciting tv shows or playing video games amps me up which prevents sleep, etc. I've learned the benefits of catching a "Ninja Nap" when I can...it works wonders.
