Well, Ever since I was twelve, I have always read about worked out.
I had worked out a couple times, Yet never was serious enough to keep with my gym membership and the healthy life style. I have always been a small guy, weighing in at 125 most of my teen years. In a way I am tired of being the small guy. The skinny bones white guy. So after a somewhat crappy relationship, I basically began being selfish for a while, spending money on and taking better care of myself. Thus leading to the gym and tanning membership. At first I was really hesitant about the gym. Simple because I felt out of place but once I got used to the gym atmosphere, started to lift more to where I didn't feel out of place anymore, yet more like I belonged there. I feel in love with getting pumped and feeling good about myself.
Why I Love It:
Being able to leave the gym parking lot, and think to myself. "I'm doing more with my day than most people do in a week."
When I was about twelve my mom put a bubble answer test in front of me and told me to fill it out truthfully. Of course I was a smart kid and knew what it was for. It was a test to show A.D.D. (attention deficit disorder) I was. So I kinda didn't take it seriously, because as a kid I was in denial.
As my teen years went on and I went through Middle and High School. It became more noticeable, It was hard for my to figure out what I wanted. Not simple things such as food at a fast food joint, but long term such as not being able to figure out what I would like to major in, I have tested so many courses and job types.
Ok! I'm boring you, My point is that the only thing I have really been able to concentrate on was the gym, and in a weird way working out and being a part of a gym has dicepated my A.D.D.
How I Stay Motivated:
Everyone likes the idea of having a wonderful perfectly symetrical body. Having the huge biceps, pecs, back, legs, and six-eight-ten pack abs. Kinda like imagining yourself as a Greek God Sculpture. As if every piece of stone that was chipped by the artists tool was leading the ending perfection of a masterpiece.
Going to the beach and laying on the beach with the sun on your chest, waves crashing in the background, the ice chill of a cold beer in your hand, and hearing someone of the opposite sex laughing and talking in the distance. But you just smile with your eyes still closed, because you know there talking about how good your body looks.
Kind of like when you walk into the grocery store, and you see one of your old pals you knew from high school. Even though all you did was say "hey", you know they were thinking "Wow, they really looked good". Then suddenly you feel wonderful, like as if somewhere deep down your self esteem is just bubbling with j
I'd like to be able to go into the gym, load up 400-500-600, yes 600 pounds of plates. Lie down and hit it 10 times. Although thats a lot of weight, and that in itself should be proud of. But when you know everyone in the gym, stops loading plates, and lifting. Turns to watch to see if your going to take the weight back up. That in itself is what should make you proud.
BB Accomplishments:
I've strengthened all muscles, and my endurance is wonderful.
1 Mile Time: 6min. 25sec

work out nightmare (funny)
Played: 94
Why I like this video: I personally hate running, but its something we do. Burns that little bit of jelly thats over those clean cut abs. Pretty funny vid, considering i know alot of us hate to run sometimes.
I have been working on quiting smoking, is it going great, no. but it is going better than before, i mainly feel the need to smoke at work while on break or lunch when im bored. I have got to the point where ill only bum a cig every now and then. So I haven't quit, but im doing better. If i have...
I like to keep it simple. If i feel like my body can take more I will. I switch my workout week to week, to make each muscle as strong as it can be under any condition. When i first started working out I was not able to do much in one session, so i would do two full body workouts each week....

Check out those insane boys. Thats how I get my bench up. Im not as wild as them but the power moves help me boost tremendously. This will inspire you. Let me know what you think.
John, well you are not the skinny white boy anymore. Still lean but you have done a real good in your progress. You look great and I know you have more to do. The goal is to bulk up and keep the abs tight like you have. But you are definitely on the right track. You have much to be proud of now. Keep up the good work. Lookin real good bro.
I have bad shoulders to- I just went to lighter weight. For the most part, I've just been focusing in on my diet. Although today I crashed. But i hope one day doesnt kill me. Just trying to get lean..
Thank John. Consistency is most important. Train with weights 3-4 times per week, eat lots of good quality food, and sleep well at night. Other than that it's mostly just time.
