I like the body part a day. You can totaly focus on that muscle. Puttin on the lbs. Congrats. The calf is good. I been hitting the weights and cardio and no sign of problems. I hope to shed the weight I put on from the layoff within 6-8 weeks. Stay in touch.
Hey bud, I just saw your message today. For some reason, I didn't see it until now......I would definately like to here about this 5x5 method. As for me, I'm still sticking to lifting hard, and I'm going to try to start cutting soon.
Look forward to hearing from you
ya theirs so many different kinds of yoga that you can do. Bikram yoga, is your in a heated room up to 105-110 degrees, its intense when your first starting but when you start goin more your body just gets used to it. I love it, it works with your body and your mentality.
Never done the 5x5. I do feel the body part a day worked for me. I am a firm believer in staying in tune with your body and see what it reacts to best. If you have never done the body part a week give it a shot. I hit 3-4 lifts per body part. I think this way ensures that I hit for example all 3 heads of the tricep. I do not have more than 45-60 min. b/c I have kids too. They make it interesting some days!
I would only go about 45 minutes on my workouts and 20-30 minutes on my cardio. I took 1 minute breaks between sets. Contrary to what you might think I went heavy too. If you go in the gym and hit it hard there is no need to spend more than an hour in the gym. Stay in touch man. I have been out of commission for about 3 months so I am working my way back into it.
Hey man. So far, I've just been doing a lot of weight training and ab work. I'm going to implement more cardio in the upcoming weeks to try to burn that midsection off. It's so hard when you are trying to gain muscle. I also take BCAA (branched chain amino acids) and flaxseed oil while trying to eat right as well. I basically eat grilled chicken for dinner everynight. Keep me updated on anything that is working for you.
