I started lifting when I 15 years old for gymnastics. I have been lifting ever since. After many years of training I started competing in bodybuilding/powerlifting.
Why I Love It:
I love having the control over my body to either get lean or get big.
I also love having superhuman strength.
How I Stay Motivated:
Setting Goals/hitting goals/ reseting those goals.
BB Accomplishments:
I have competed 11 times in bodybuilding Won some local titles and have several runner up finishes for the Mr. Nebraska. I have accomplshed a little more in powerlifting. I was one of the top 275 lb powerlifters in the world. I am the first man under 300lbs to total 2600lbs 1050squat, 800 bench, 750 deadlift. I have set several world and national records in the squat, bench and total. I have won many national and world titles. The Biggest meet I have done to date was at the Arnold Classic 2006. I set a world record bench with Arnold watching.

Dude, that's some very impressive lift stats. I've been an fan of powerlifting, strongman, etc. for years now and give you guys tremendous credit! One question that I have always wondered is what a typical day's diet is for people like yourself?
Resting, rehabing and recouperating are not the easiest things to do especially for one who is as dedicated as I think you are. But you must or else it will not heal right and if it "blows" out again you may never get back to where you want to be. Listen to the Doc, and when they say its OK then go out and, "Git 'er done!
Jim, I have to admire your forum signature. Working out in whatever fashion should be something we enjoy doing. Hope you're doing OK these days, post op
