Overall Goal: I want to grow in strength and technique for my fights and tournaments. I want to keep increasing my performance level. I would like to get into fitness modeling and possibly figure competitions.
I have always been an athlete. I started in gymnastics at age 4 and ran my first few mile race at 7. In grade school I was in volleyball, track, and a cheerleader. High school and college volleyball, track, and cross country. NOW, I train to kick butt...LOL!
Why I Love It:
MMA, muay thai, and Bjj is what completes a part of my life. It keeps me healthy, fit, strong, happy, and competitive.
How I Stay Motivated:
My sensei, my coach, and my muse push me to the top. They are my support outside of my family. My family keeps me going. It is NOT hard to stay motivated when you LOVE something. I love MMA!

Goal (Long):
I joined this site after I met a lot of my goals. I will fill you in on what you have missed. I have a 3 year old and 1year old. I wanted to loss all the baby weight. I could barely find the time and then my sensei challenged me. He said JUST EXCUSES... You want...You make it happen. SOOOOO...
I start my day at 5a.m. to drive 1 1/2 hr to train. (It is the best school with the best sensei and coach ever...worth the drive...I got huge results...enough said..
Less than 1 year ago after my 2nd son. I lost 20lbs. of baby weight by myself. I then started training at American Top Team....
I WEIGHED IN at 158lbs. and 23% body fat.
I lost weight quickly. I went from 158lbs. to 135 in a few months. by the end of 8 months I WEIGHED IN a my current STATS: 125lbs. and 10% body fat.
I OVER CAME 2 BROKEN BACKS,I OWN A FEW COMPANIES,I AM A MOM, ETC....
... I CHOSE NOT TO HAVE AN EXCUSE THAT WOULD KEEP ME FROM MY GOALS!
NOW my goals have change. I want to be the best fighter and competitor. My passion is in this sport (MMA) and the weight falls off. When you love doing something so much and do the work everything falls into place around your goals.
I also want to start fitness modeling.
I want to be able to motivate other people to lead a healthy lifestyle. I want to show people that you can overcome hardships, injuries, and even pregnancies and still be a fierce competitor and in shape.
I REFUSE TO BE HELD BACK.
I want to thank my sensei (Master Renato Tavares) and coach (Joel Garcia) for pushing and motivating me. They are amazing teachers and friends.

I train 4 days a week. Mondays and Fridays, I train 2 hours of muay thai. Tuesdays and Thursdays I train 1 1/2 hours muay thai and then go right into 1 hour of Brazilian jiu jitsu.

I'm doing great my son will be home sometime this week!!! I just started P90X all over again. I will do better this time I swear..LOL I need to back away from the table MORE OFTEN.LOL Is this a big tournament your going to?
