I was on the college dance team which required many hours of exercise. I mostly did cardio and stretching and was always very trim in my upper body. I watched my brother get seriously buff eating healthier and lifting heavy watching that transformation helped me realize that I wanted to change my physique as well!

That Belly has got to GO!!
My first weekly photo for my transformation, WOW! This picture really shows me ALL the work I have to do!!!
I got Work to Do!!!! Time to GET SERIOUS!!
Just call me Ms. SQUAT!
Goal (Long):
I have reached the first layer of my goals when I lost thirty pounds, my next goal is to reduce my bodyfat percentage to 18%, continue to lose 20 more pounds, and I'm looking at competing before the end of 2008.
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Give your workout 100%; Your nutrition 100% and give your body time to adjust to the changes; the results will come. Also take pictures as you may not notice the changes.

What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
Did not address nutrition, so I did not see any results.
It sure is tough getting up at 4:25am to make it to the gym, but when I get there I swear I feel so at home. Before I start to let mind contemplate staying in the bed; I try to jump up and get out!
For the past two years I have hired trainer after trainer and paid unspeakable amounts...
Thanks! She is doing great. Did her first aerobics class this morning and is a little swollen...but you can tell by the pic...she is SMOKIN...your looking good yourself... :)
Not happy with progress at all...I start dancing again in a couple of weeks so I know that will help...But i really need to hit the weights...I decided that instead of buying a dining table I am turning my kitchen into a mini workout station, since I have time to hit the gym.
I know why you're saying you still have work to do,lol ;] (ladies r never satisfied when it could still be a little better, lol) but you have a really great shape. Keep it up!
Thanks Girl! You mean my 20 days of straight madness (food, NO gym)? Yeah - I dropped by the gym yesterday and have no plans to return anytime soon. Well - only 3x's per week now. Hmmmmm, "Ms.Squat" huh? Girl I may need a spot later this week... *smile*
You are doing great girl! It's tough but we can do it. Looks like we both have the hip and thigh action going on, and that right there alone takes tremendous squats and lunges. Keep up the good work and watch that scale keep moving. I'm trying to curve my urges I keep getting. Are you takin supplements?
