When I Started:
Apr, 2004
How I Started:
All throughout grade school, I've always been one of the smallest kids in the class. I was encouraged by my family to lift weights, but I was never interested because I was embarassed to be the puny guy in the gym. Then one year my parents bought me some dumbbells and a bench for Christmas! I was able to work out in the privacy of my own basement, where I made some noticible gains quicker than I expected, and soon found the confidence to join my school gym. I've been hooked ever since.
Why I Love It:
It enhances my confidence, appearance, strength, endurance... It also feels great to beat a personal record, or to see myself in the mirror and see how far I've come.
How I Stay Motivated:
Checking out bodybuilding videos on youtube, and looking at other people's BodySpaces, hoping I can look like them one day!
BB Accomplishments:
May 29, 2008: Put up 60 pound dumbbells for 3 sets of 10 (seated shoulder press).

Progress Pictures

Here is a picture of me, cold. I have too much bodyfat.
After about two weeks of bulking. Just chugged a gainer with creatine, so a little bit bloated in this pic. I'm happy with my progress thus far.
Oh, glorious day. This morning was my official weigh in for my fight in the Bronze Gloves in a week and a few days. After four and a half months of cutting, I managed to get myself down to a lean 141.6lbs. I am fighting in the light-middleweight division, which is a max weight of...
Well, I'm not certified yet... should be by Sept. :) 20 min sounds good to me, man. I do 10-15 min and do moderate intensity HR around 150-160. I'll do 5 min of HIIT during that time and get my HR around 170-175. I only do HIIT like 2-3x per week. I rely more so on diet to drop fat than cardio.
Dude, that's terrible. I'm guessing she's an -ex for a reason. Maybe tonight I'll dream that she's cheating on me with you. Anything I should know about this chick? ;) Stay strong, al
Yeah, the gainer I get is exclusive to Max Muscle as it's their brand. In all honesty, I pretty much buy all my supps from them now that I can. Little more expensive, but a higher quality in the end, which will ultimately help get better results. You may wanna look into Pro Complex Gainer also if you wanna keep the carbs high but the sugars minimal. It's what I used to use before Big Max 50 since I need to add sugars into my diet.
Haven't really been impressed with any CytoSport products, to be honest. I assume you're referring to the Pro Lab N-Large? I'd steer away from that one. It's mostly sugar and I believe all fructose (easily converted to fat), so you may put weight on but it won't be good weight. Plus when I did try it I could never get it to blend/taste right... Gainers, or any powder really, you get what you pay for. Just make sure to read the ingredients label.
Actually, I down at least 2 of those shakes a day (one only with water if I'm at work). It's 20oz milk and 4 scoops of Big Max 50 from Max Muscle. Comes out to about 850 calories each. Just trying to bulk, basically. I like that the Big Max 50 is primarily dextrose though instead of all fructose for what few sugars it does have.
Yeah, I found the pet supplement offerings kind of odd, myself. I'd love to pack some weight onto my back, as well. I just can't seem to get long stretches of good back work without injury. Best of luck in the gym, brother. al
Astonishing? Damn, that's an impressive compliment! Thank you. I'm all talk, brother. The only thing weird that I drink is green tea. Excellent-looking shoulders, thick triceps, best of luck with your training, my friend. al
hey man thanks, yeah there beastley aint they - ur abs are lookin great, ur arms are AWESOME! an ur chest is lookin great to, so keep up the good work - u look like ur on the right track for sure, thanks for the kind words bro
Thanks Jesse! I see that the iron has been treating you well. I can also say that you are well on your way to achieve your desired physique. Continued success with your boxing preparation. -Jeff
