How I Started:
June 1, 2009...Still training in MMA. I can't explain it...I just know I love it. Nothing is better than beating the Sh*t outta of a bag, a body or a target/pad. I am so fortunate to be trained by one of the best.. Alex Wilkie the man in the photo. I also get to train with a couple MMA Pro's. Fortunately for me I get to work offense on them!! lol I know...I need to get some workout photos up. Soon, I promise!
Update Sept. 1, 2008...I've been away for a little while. I quit Karate and I've been actively training in MMA for almost a year now. I am very fortunate to train with Alex Wilkie (www.alexwilkiemma.com) one of the best on the East Coast and possibly the country. I am equally as fortunate to have Pat Grieco providing me with nutrition counseling. The bonus is Pat and Alex know each other and Pat understand how intense Alex trains, so my diet is tight and provides enough nutrition to get me through a workout.
I'm hoping to get some new pictures up in the next couple days. Check back if your interested.
Diet just wasn't enough anymore. I couldn't get the scale to move.
Why I Love It:
I like the way I feel, look and the way my clothes fit. I like the burn and soreness.
How I Stay Motivated:
I pull out a photos of when I was 236 and up and put on the jeans I wore at that weight. I set stretch goals and work hard to achieve them. I also have a photo of my trainer on the fridge (I'm not kidding really!!).
BB Accomplishments:
To date my major accomplishment is having lost 90 pounds and reduced my bmi by 22%.
Well, I hit my yearend goal of losing 30 pounds and reducing my bodyfat. I'm so excited. I've updated my goal to lose 20 pounds and reduce my bmi by 4-5% by March. That would put me at 130 lbs and 14-15% bmi. I really don't want my bmi to go lower than that. I'm still hoping...
Cardio - 6 days per week target heart rate 144-170
Abs - 6 days per week 4 x 30 Crunches, 4 x 30 Leg raises
Karate - 2 nights per week

Looks good! Might give the workout series a go but will have to motify it as I am stuck in a basement without most machenes. Not going to give up karate , I mean chuck leddell(However you spell it!)) still trains and teaches kenpo which is what I do!

The season isn't what keeps me busy, but the other stuff that goes along with that..I'm only doing 2 shows in 09 both in April. You look great Gina, let me know when you are going to spar with Carano. Nice new pics as well. Chucky Zito huh? That's an Angel worth remembering
That's great Gina, you'll be learning from the best. Pat Greico is one of the finest,nicest and most knowledgeable men I have ever met. His show in NJ the Ex-Caliber was one of the best shows ever run as well. It's a shame it has been cancelled for 09. I'm sure his training and nutrition will be a benefit to your new endeavor. Glad to see you've returned..
