When I Started: Jan, 2007
How I Started: I actually started working out in 9th grade for football and have lifted ever since. But here recently I have taken it much more seriously and have shown great gains in size and strength.
Why I Love It: I leave the gym with a sense of accomplishment. Also, the gym is the one place I can do my own thing with out someone telling me how to do it. At home, work, and school, people tell me how to do things. At the gym I can let go.
How I Stay Motivated: Usually I keep a couple of pictures of myself from high school in my gym bag and look back at what I once was. I know I dont want to go back to that. Also I play semi-pro football, and I blew every ligament in my knee may 5, 2007. That is purely motivation in itself. On top of that, people told me that I wouldnt ever be the same, and I am out to prove that I will be better.
BB Accomplishments: On January 1st I will have been hitting the weights hard for a full year. I have raised my bench press from 195 to 315. My incline is 245 and my decline is 315. I have added an inch and a quarter to my arm size. I have gained 15 pounds, mostly in muscle. I eat better and feel like I am in the best shape ever.
