When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I had decided that enough was enough time to stop damaging my body. I was a smoker, frequent drinker and non-gym goer LOL. A good friend (now my partner) started taking me to the gym and explained all about training - I loved it and haven't looked back.
Why I Love It:
It gives me something to focus on and goals to achieve aside from study. It helps me to work off my stress in a healthy way.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at old pictures and think - "I am not going back there".
BB Accomplishments:
Completing my first unassisted pull up!

Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
My workout partner (also my life partner) is my main motivation - he keeps me going to the gym and gives me the compliments which keep me wanting to try harder - the benefits include someone to kick your b**t when you're being lazy.My workout partner (also my life partner) is my main motivation - he keeps me going to the gym and gives me the compliments which keep me wanting to try harder - the benefits include someone to kick y...more

Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I have a log book in my gym bag and keep a record of exercises, reps and weights I use each session - helps to see where improvements can be made and to look back on when I need a bit of motivation.
I don't get my brain at all or is it purely your stomach that deals with cravings?
But here I am today at my lowest weight since I started - only 1.5 weeks away from Christmas and New Year and so I know there will be damage done in the coming weeks - my plan was to get as low as possible...
When I look at your progress photos I see that you are making great strides in your quest to change your body and I congratulate you. Continue to challenge yourself and always strive to do better each and every time you work out and you will be amazed at the results and the speed at which they occur. Stay strong and focused and determined.
You are proof that; "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, ?others, like you, make it happen."
Wow, looking great so far Jen, oh and love your rose tattoo, i'm actually thinking of getting almost the same thing just a little smaller and closer to the hip... kind of my reward too!
Thank you, I appreciate that you accepted my friend invite. Much success to you in accomplishing all your health and fitness goals. Take care and have a great week.
