The year I graduated from highschool my neighbor talked me into getting a gym membership with him and we started going 4 days a week. I was always into sports so I was in pretty good shape but I'd never tried to gain weight through lifting. I gained 30lbs of muscle in 3 months and was absolutely hooked. A few years later I started working 50-60 hours weeks and stopped hitting the gym altogether. That was 4 years ago and I've gotten pretty out of shape. So...as of september 2007 I'm making time for the gym and trying to get back to my 22 year old body.
Why I Love It:
I love being sore! I love the feedback I get from my body telling me that I had a good workout. I love the energy in the gym and the energy I take with me. And honestly, I love looking good naked. haha
How I Stay Motivated:
Competition. I'm an ultra competitive person so, as long as there is a person at my gym who is in better shape than me (and there pretty much always will be) I have all the motivation I need. That and Jamie Eason...can't lie...the woman gives me a LOT of motivation.
