Good to hear man. I'm three-ish weeks out from a fight. I'm stuck out of town from my gym until Sunday at my parent's place and it's driving me insane.

Oi! Don't start sounding all emo on me. As long as you keep moving forward, no matter how bad things get, there'll be a light at the end of the tunnel, no matter what it is you're going through. Trust me. Everything has a way of working out if you extend just a general level of courtesy to everyone you meet.

Yeah, that's actually something we're banking on is the fact that Im a really tubby 155 (comparatively speaking) and aren't that strong, but when I roll with the 45's I can pick them up and toss them around easily, so I scale well down to that. Here's to some abs!

Well, it's going. I'm kind of worn out at the moment from school almost being done for the semester, but hopefully I'll pick up here in a bit again.

Local MMA. I'll probably be at 155 for it, but I dunno. We've been talking about me going to 145 cause I'm still rather soft at the 155 range so it's possible I'll be going down further in the future.

Yeah, that's where it's getting to for me. I'm supposed to be fighting on the 14th of January and only have 24 or so days left in the gym (6 weeks really) till the fight. I'm getting real nervous cause I can't get myself to eat right or workout on the road.

Things are going pretty well. We're solving a problem with my having a very different game plan than what my coach is used to planning with. It's working out, happily. I've been on a card already, but the fight got changed at the weigh ins and I'm on again for january 14th at 155. Wish me luck! How goes your training?

I got kicks. They're not particularly hard, but they're definitely fast. I can throw somewhere in the neighborhood of 4-6 thai kicks in 10 seconds, which is pretty good for the gym. The faster people are TKD black belts, so that's there. I don't know about my strike accuracy. one of the issues my gym has is not sparring very often. I'm planning on saying something about that tomorrow at practice.

I don't feel like I don't have anything either. I think that I just haven't found it yet. What do you have in mind as far as ways of finding it? I'm mostly interested in building strength and cardio more than anything right now.

I kinda do. I'm at the point where I need a plan, but according to my coach, I don't appear to be particularly good at anything, so we're working through that problem. The only thing I've got going for me at the moment is being smart and coachable.
