I started like most kids do, as a HS athlete. I played HS and College basketball. Then a few Semi pro summer leagues and tournaments, so working out just came naturally. After a nasty car accident a few years back and then one excuse after another due to injuries and working way too much I let myself fall into the abyss and lost track of what I loved most about it all. So now I'm back and more motivated then ever!
Why I Love It:
To me the physical aspects of it fall secondary to the mental aspect of it. Working out makes me feel great! If I feel great then that radiates through the rest of my life and it's just an amazing feeling. So, although it's great to look at someone with ripped pecs and bulging biceps, it's the health aspects of it I love the most
Today was originally going to be nothing more than a double session of cardio for the day, but after my last client I was amped and ready to get a little leg work in! I haven't really hit legs in some time. After the knee rehab and all that jazz I got into the whole 'scared' mindset of working...
Thanks for the post. I must admit on the one hand I respected them for learning the correct way but their obvious lack of experience really put a bad taste in my mouth. If most of them were fit and experienced in the gym I would have had a completely different take. Those are the ones most likely to succeed!

Hey, thanks for the request. You're right, it is nice to see fellow New Jersians on here =) You're from Kearney? That's north Jersey, right? I'm central-south.
I tried to answer your questions best I could (in my blog).. Thanks for visiting and commenting. I will post pictures and results each Monday until July 15th to see if that diet works or not.. Take care.
Got two guys that I am helping with workouts at current and a father/son duo I am going to be starting this coming week. Ordered the study materials for CSCS. Don't know if you ever thought about joining the NSCA, but they have a lot of good information in their journals that I have been looking though online. It is only about $140 to join. I am beginning to think that a lot of what is in NASM's info came from research that NSCA published.
ya man, dogcrap is a great program. Ill be doing it for a long time unlesss I come across anything better. Especially because of my smaller body type. Anyways man, goodluck with the compitition and goals.
Hey Jay! Thanks for the encouragement. I don't doubt that going back through the exam after I completed it would be a good idea. I know on the practice test there were more than a few times where I miss read questions - knew the answer, just didn't totally grasp how it was being asked. We'll see how this goes. My usual business has slowed down, so I have certainly had ample time to study.
