Yup yup, got up early this morning for a little shoulder training. Not my typical (or ideal) time, but as I try to juggle spending quality time with the woman, it can't be at the expense of my training. Gains, Gains can't forget about my gains! JasonJNagy created a new BodyBlog entry "Overtraining and it Feels so Good".

When you speak with fitness professionals, most will tell you to avoid over-training. I agree; it leaves you open to injuries and can reverse some of the progress you've gained.  Today was one of those exceptions, but I ensured opposing muscle groups were trained. For upper body, I had a Chest and Triceps day and for lower body, Quads and Hamstrings. (See my previous Fitocracy Post) Ever since I started my own routine, I've had a great sense of freedom. It's been a while but it's important to log all thoughts and progress. Last time I wrote, I spoke about some nagging injuries. Unfortunately, some remain such as the pain in my back. But on a positive note, knees are feeling much better. Not saying they are completely recovered, as I still get some tightness, but I'd say knees are about 90-95%. I'll sometimes wake with some soreness in my back, and if I make awkward movements or false steps, sometimes it activates the pain receptors in my back.... Go to BodyBlog

Drew522 Yeah I am very meticulousness about following his program, I just wanted to ensure that there would be no fat gain around the mid section. I mean people probably wouldn't do it if it did right. I am just doing the P90X ployometrics training on the cardio days for 30 minutes which is pretty much like HIT.
