5 Years ago I weighed 145. Since then I've had a child, and separated from the Navy. I'm now entering college in August and ready to shed these pounds for good. More than that, tone. MY husband has lifted weights off and on and when he started back up, he gave me an article to read about diet, and everything clicked.
Why I Love It:
I love working out simply because I love to feel good about myself, my body, my image. I'm at a point now, where even after a workout, I don't feel that way.

What JamieSmith Is Up To:
Dec 19, 2009
JamieSmithchanged Weight from 175 lbs. to 173 lbs., a 2 lb. loss in 10 days
I WILL lose 72 pounds and get back to the weight I was 5 years ago. (Plus toning and muscle definition.) That's 217 down to 145.
Goal (Long):
Over the last 5 years I've done a tour in the Navy and had a baby both of which piled on extra pounds... and ever slowly my weight continued to climb. It's time I've ended it now. I not only want a body that's in shape but I want to look good naked and I want to feel wanted again. My body gives me confidence and so as you can imagine, as of now, I have none. I'm ready to transform into a body better than what I had before. I refuse to have any more children until I do so.
She's right around my height, and heavier when she started than I am now. Now look at her, a completely different person. Because she's similiar, going over her workout plan/supplements/etc. will help motivate me to continue!
She lost over 115 lbs and reading her story about the moment that changed her mind for the better, and how her children were involved... literally brought me to tears. So inspiring.
So when I started my workout... I wasn't wearing jeans. I had outgrown my size 18's and there was no effing way I was going to buy 20's. Not after being a veteran size 8 five years ago (ahh.. I was so living in the past.) ANYWAY.. you can imagine my excitment well.. no don't call it that......
You are doing great with your transformation. A 5 pound per month average is fantastic. Keep up the hard work Jamie! You WILL loose the 72 pounds you are looking for.
Things are going well and yourself? Thank you for adding me as a friend. Best of luck to you in accomplishing all your health and fitness goals. Have a good weekend.
