How I Started:
When I quit smoking in 1998 I took on another addiction: Food. I had put on 40 pounds in just a few years. I was miserable, hated how I looked and felt. The day I delivered my 2nd daughter I started eating healthier. Two weeks after she was born I started walking on my treadmill, and not long after that I fell head over heels for weight training.
Why I Love It:
I love the endorphins I get, a natural high! I completely get in my own little zone and the rest of the world and all of it's craziness no longer exist.
How I Stay Motivated:
It started at first that I was scared to stop. I grew up in a very sedentary family. My mom is definitely a reverse trigger. She is on an oxygen tank and very dependent on others. I don't want to ever feel the way she does. Also I want to be a good role model for my 2 girls.

I want to gain muscle and lose fat especially in my thigh area. I am not so much worried about what the scale says as long as I am lean and defined all over.
I would like to be fit and sculpted enough to compete in a bodybuilding competition. This is something that I really would like to experience at least once before I am a grand parent. My oldest daughter is just turning 12, so not too much pressure ;)

The sci-fit elliptical. I could stay on that thing all day.

What is your cardio exercise plan?
Right now I am doing M/Th 30 min 1 min high intensity intervals. T/F 35-40 1 min high intensity intervals. W/S 50-60 min steady state moderate intensity.
CAN YOU EMAIL ME A LINK ABOUT THE DIET YOUR FOLLOWING OR WHAT IT IS CALLED...I NEED SOME GUIDENCE ON THAT PART...IF I GET THAT IN CHECK I FEEL MY BODY WILL RESPOND ALOT BETTER TO MY WORKOUTS...
good so far. not too much on the way of excercise - YET.. I went out a few days last weekn when it was warm, and felt good running/jogging, and did some lunges and jump rope. The diet is going really well. That's the EASY part for me!!!
