Personal Info And Background:
Real Name:
Josh
Sex:
Male
Age:
Location:
United States
Occupation:
Student
Personal Website:
Gym:
SIUC Student Rec Center
Gym Location:
Carbondale
When I Started:
Mar, 2006
How I Started:
When I first started to train, I was power lifting and trying to get bigger, stronger, and faster so that I could walk onto the football team here at Carbondale. However, things changed and so did I, and I decided I wanted to do bodybuilding instead.
Why I Love It:
Helps me deal with stress and keeps me in shape. I can fall asleep much better at night with exercise compaired to without it. I also eat healthier and stay fit. I also love the burn and pump after a workout... lol but who doesn't? :P
How I Stay Motivated:
The same way I stay motivated in everything I do, look at the goal in the future. Don't let anything or anyone derail your goals no matter what.
BB Accomplishments:
I was 275 pounds in March, and now I am 240 and have lost at least 5-6 inches on my waist. I can actually see muscles that I couldn't see when I was 215 pounds and played basketball in high school.
I would like to lose enough fat and maintain/increase the lean mass I have (around 205 pounds). My long term goal is to compete in the NPC.
Goal (Long):
My goal now is to go down to biloxi and compete in my first NPC show. Doesn't matter how well i do because I have come so far since i first started. It will be a good gauge for me when I compete in future shows.
hey where can i find out more about the mr SIU contest. i currently go to isu and cant find anything on the internet as to info. i googled it and i got your page as one of the options. can you help me find out more. by the way great progress!
Sweet, thanks for the comment! Typically I'd to pulldowns with a parallel wide grip, but my new gym doesn't have that bar. Mostly I've been doing front/rear pulldowns lately, but I planned to add some close grips in with my next program. Hopefully it'll work. Thanks again! - Adam
Yeah, I think I got the loop in the weight graph from not updating after a couple months of bulking and then I started updating everyday. And yes, I go to Champaign.
Hey there man, I actually workout in Champaign at the Gold's gym here. Looks like you're in the process of cutting, I wish you the best of luck with that bro!
Good luck cutting. You seem to have a natural structure for building...your wide shoulders and back should serve you well. Let us know how you're progressing.
A few more weeks to Mr.SIU! I know lots of people just say "I'll compete" and just being a big mouth, but you keep training and dieting, so you already are winner! The first time will be a good experience. you'll have fun. Good luck.
