For the cold sweats you get when you've reached failure, but still try to get one more rep. For the aches and pains after a hard workout. For the thrill of watching your body change before your eyes. For the Pump.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by watching my body change from week to week. Even the small changes keep me going. My wife and 2 girls are also a huge motivator.

This is when I decided to change.
Need to work on the arms. They kinda look like toothpicks.
Being a soldier comes with a lot of sterotypes; however, being an AIRBORNE Paratrooper comes with more. In my office I have a picture of a Paratrooper standing on the DZ with his gear. He looks fit and muscular. That's what I want. When my daughter tells her classmates (mainly future boyfriends) that her dad is AIRBORNE, I want them to be awe struck. Not because I jump out of airplanes, but because they know just from looking at me, that I am a force to be reckon with. I also want to do this for my wife. She deserves to have someone that looks as good as she does. Yes, I married way outside my league. I want her to be able to look at her sister and friends and say "Yep, that's all mine."
In August, when I finally bit the bullet and went head first in to this thing, I came to the harsh realization that inorder to look big and strong, you have to be big and strong. With this new mind set, I set out to accomplish just that. I gave myself until 14 FEB 2008, for obvious reasons,...
First I want to thank you for serving our country and keeping my family safe!!!!!!!! I know what you mean about marrying out of your league. My wife got more beautiful every year as I got fatter. No more though, I am determined to give her something worth loking at. Thanks again!
