I started bodybuilding in March, 2005 when I was 13 years old and weighed 120 pounds. I saw pictures of Arnold Schwarzenegger and decided I wanted to look like him. Now I am 18 years old and have gained almost 100 pounds since then.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding is an incredible challenge! I like setting goals and going after them. I want to be Mr. Olympia one day. I love the pump and feel accomplished after a workout. I've competed in three competitions and am training for my fourth.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by remembering my goals. I focus on both short-term and long-term goals and visualize myself achieving those goals.
BB Accomplishments:
I've competed 3 times and currently I'm training for my fourth competition! I only weighed 120 pounds when I was 13 and my arms were only 10.5 inches. Now they are over 18 inches!

After a disappointing last-place showing, I hope to transform my physique! For the first time, achieving a lean body with muscular definition and separation is my top training priority. I will continue dieting in preparation for another competition sometime in November (7 to 9 weeks away!).
As for my ultimate goal, I want to be the first Mr. Olympia to never take steroids! I hope to create a physique similar to Arnold's, but a little bit bigger so I can have a chance against today's champs.
Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I use a simple paper notebook. I keep track of exercises, reps, weight, where I trained at, what time of day, cardio, and I make notes of certain things.

Where do you mainly workout?
Gym
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
It has all the necessary equipment for getting a complete workout, such as free weights, machines, cables, etc. I tend to focus better training in a gym than at home as well.

What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
Enough equipment to get a workout that satisfies your goals, a gym that is not overcrowded, and one with the correct atmosphere that motivates me to train as hard as possible.
Just moved to Florida a few days ago! It's a great place. I'll be working out at a Powerhouse Gym until August when I'll probably be switching to a Zoo Health Club when they open in a month or two. This morning I did a 61-set workout at Powerhouse training Shoulders, Arms, Calves,...
Crunch time! Just wanted to send you a word or two of encouragment as you enter your final, okay, next to final prep for the contest. Hang in there and stay focused - you're on track to do well!
