For size, low reps work for me. I go no more than 6 reps. And 3-4 sets. I think 3 works better for size, but sometimes I use 4 just to shock the muscles.

I credit my legs to leg presses and squats. Lunges are really good for them too. And lift heavy weights. That is what worked for me.
