I was once 280 pounds of fat. I was a sophomore in high school weighing in a 280. My doctor told me that every year i was putting on at least 20 pounds. I was told that by the time i graduate college i would be over 400 pounds. I needed to do something. I was able to loose about 60 pounds on my own, and ended at 220, but i gained 10 back. I needed to do something 230, and i still felt i needed to loose. I did EAS's Body For Life challenge. This was a 12 week challenge, and it changed my life! I went down to 187 pounds! Last time I weighed that much i was in middle school! Do to this new change, I have since been training to go on stage and compete Bodybuilding. I want to be able to say that i was 280 and able to loose enough to get on stage, and be proud!
Why I Love It:
I love sculpting my body. Its an individual sport, everything i do right is because i did it, anything wrong I need to fix. I love gripping onto the weights and having to move them in a way that makes you want to crawl in a corner and pass. But seriously, I love the way it feels when you have the blood flowing through your veins, you feel unstoppable.
How I Stay Motivated:
All i have to do is look at my old photos, what i used to look like, and what i look like now. I also look at pictures of my idols. I also read their stories and I envision myself at my goal. I create short term and long term goals, and i convince myself that i will reach them, that i have the power!
BB Accomplishments:
Going from 280 pounds to 187 pounds..... enough said...
