How I Started:
After reading "The Art of Expressing the Human Body" by Bruce Lee, I began my weight training in 2005. Throughout Jr. and Sr. High School I ran track as a sprinter and only used weights at the beginning of the season for assessment. I have always been active some times having so much restless energy that I often don't know how to exert it lol.
Why I Love It:
The sweat, the pain and soreness, and even better, the results from a routine and the progress towards another!!! It not only makes me feel good about myself but, it also reflects my outlook and appreciation for life in general.
How I Stay Motivated:
I train for my life and with that everything that comes along with it. Seeing the results are great but, the feeling of getting stronger, faster, more endurance and stamina gets me going!

This was before the weight training got serious and I was weighing about a buck 37 then. Pulled this one out of the archives...I am still slim thanks to genetics but dayum I was frail lol.
Fitness, nutrition and spiritual growth always. Having joy and pain, simultaneously during the process is the beauty of it all!
Goal (Long):
Lifelong fitness and great quality health. One day I would like to become a Personal Trainer, too, providing motivation and self-discipline to those who aspire to use fitness as an avenue to travel for confidence, better personal appearance and/or life long quality health.
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
There are many celebrities who have set high standards, who are setting high standards and who will set high standards. I am going to set a high standard for myself for others to reach and exceed.

Had my run today and the weather and conditions were great. A little over 14 miles and I was able to finish in a little over 2:04. Would have been nice to get under 2 but I have no complaints. Nothing like running in NYC. Ok your up next, you ready for your run?
What's up Jamaal? Some serious progress your making, good job! Quick update, I've been feeling pretty good so I signed up for a 14.2 mile run in Sept. I've got a few weeks to add about 6 miles to my long run. After that I'm gonna take the vest out again. Take it slow this time though. Keep up with your training. Gary
I'm getting closer but not quite all the way back yet. I've been jogging but at a slower pace because the longer the stride I can feel the pain. I've been able to lift but just no abs and they need the most work. lol Continued success for your training!
I think I went up in weight too fast. I pulled a muscle about 2 months ago running hills and I haven't used it since. I reaggravated it last night playing softball. Hopefully it will heal quickly and I'll be back out there. Good luck getting your speed back up.
