How I Started:
I have been doing sports since I was young. I got into competitive karate when i was in 8th grade and loved it ever since. I'm a black belt in ShÃto-Ryu, traditional style of Karate-Do from Japan. I've never lifted weights until October of 2009. I decided I needed to bulk up and gain muscle so i can be stronger and more agile for karate.
Why I Love It:
I love working out. I can't even begin to imagine what a life without karate or working out would be like. Being fit and in shape builds my confidence and makes me feel great.
How I Stay Motivated:
Just looking at people's Bodyspaces' keeps me motivated... I also keep a daily log of my workouts and diet. This alone keeps me motivated because I go over it constantly and I can see if I've been slacking one day which motivates me to try harder the next.
BB Accomplishments:
I don't think it counts as "bodybuilding accomplishments", but I got a gold and silver medal at the USANKF National Championships in July of 2009. I have also won over 50 1st places in the many authentic karate tournaments.
