How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
I don't have an established number of reps. I take each set to failure.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Long enough to write down how many reps I did in my log book and take about 20 breaths. Doing that keeps the tracking in log book consistent and it ads a very mild cardio element to the workout.

During this trip to Iraq I spent a few weeks with an Infantry unit that was really competitive with their weightlifting.  One of the Soldiers was talking about how how one of the guys had just maxed a single with 300 pounds.

hehe thanks man. i love working shoulders. and i know what you mean about keeping sane with the workouts. sometimes looking forward to a workout gets me through the day and the actual workout makes it even better.
