How I Started:
Had a heart attack at 41...weighed 230 with over 30%Bf knew it was time to make it happen... actually it was past time :)
Why I Love It:
For all of the obvious reasons ....Plus,
I like the fact that I can control my body and my mind to create a better level of being....That might sound a little hokey, But the difference between being healthy and being weak and ill is huge.
How I Stay Motivated:
Heart Attacks have a strange affect on the survivors, some people go on oxygen and hide out for the rest of their lives ...others recognizing the fragility of our existence look to become stronger and more in control of that inevitable moment.
Plus it feels Amazing!
BB Accomplishments:
Just being able to bench 300 was a major mile stone!

Goal (Long):
Been working hard now for a year and realizing how far I have to go.. that is the good news and there is ..No bad news. The fun of lifting and dieting ..it's religion.
Working on first a 190lb stage, hopefully get my body fat way down. Just once I want to see how low I can go. work with that maybe compete.. and then step that up over a three year period to 220lb. I think a three year 30 pound jump is totally realistic and by then my body fat will have been low for a couple of years so I will have hopefully achieved that very solid and dry look...Hopefully :)..
After my screw up last month I decided to just go for the Bulk.. I was running out of winter quickly and doing a crash cardio hi rep routine was making feel stringy and then I actually hurt myself by over training... It didn't take all that long to recover but I think it was a good thing that...
Eat about 325gms protein. Now if you are one of the lucky ones and not carb sensitive, then eat about 325 low glycemic carbs, brown rice, oats, red or sweet taters, etc. Do the dextrose before your training and the waxy-maze after. If your somewhat in the middle, split the fats and the carbs. Best to ya! ed aka Ol Supe
