When I Started:
May, 2006
How I Started:
I have never been "Fit" in my life. But I wasn't considered fat untill about 2001. My weight would go up and down a little. In May of 2006, I booked a cruise for Sept and I wanted to look "good". I ordered Nutrisystem and the weight started to come off. I was around 222 Lbs at the time.
Why I Love It:
Once I started loosing the weight, I started to notice how easy it was to do things. I also started to like to way I looked and the complements I was getting...Admit it, we love the complements. But most of all it just feels great to be healthy.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at my before pictures.
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have any major bodybuilding accomplishments at the time, but my cardio kicks butt!!! I am able to hike any mountain in my area with ease... I am at the point where I use a weighted vest to make it more of a challange. Not bragging, just excited!!!

It inspires me when I see someone my age or older and they got it all togather. Age is truly just a number. I didn't start doing something about my health and fitness until 3 years ago, but with time I hope to have half the body you do! Also I love the blogs - very good.
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Like the Nike ad - "Just do it" - If I think about it too long, it will never happen... we don't think about brushing our teeth when we wake up - we just do it.

Since you've been working out, taking supplements and eating right, how often do you get sick (cold, flu, etc.)?
Very rarely

Do you have any type of chronic disease or condition?
For the past 2 weeks I have been downsizing from a 4 bedroom to a 2 bedroom. The only problem is that the new place is on the third floor - 40 steps up and 40 steps down. Combine that with jogging 5-6 miles every other day and my ass is tired. But I got an idea - there's over 25 buildings...
Thank you very much, and good luck to you as well carving out that six pack. Stick with it, these things take time, I think we're both on the right track though. Take care
Ben
