I got fat in my senior year of high school-ate, worked and partied to add an additional 100lbs of FAT in one year! Moved from Chicago to Pasadena, and new roommate's boyfriend was pro arm wrestler, he said that I had the genes for building. It took me almost 10 yrs to convince myself to get motivated and go to the gym. Once I got beyond the putzing around the gym--I discovered the PUMP. And then I wasn't happy without it.
Why I Love It:
I feel good when Im working out. I can watch my body change. I know when Im working out the way I need to. I find my "happy spot"when my body is screaming from the PUMP.
How I Stay Motivated:
Once I honestly got motivated, I went from 277/285 to 230, and yeah-I wasnt hard and cut, but I could feel the diference, I felt better. It was good. I work with guys, 10 yrs younger, 50 lbs lighter than me-- and Ive proven to them that I am stronger than the wait staff of the restaurant that I work in. They respect me, not only as older, but for that strength as well as my body condition. Now I want to compete!
BB Accomplishments:
Im 43 yrs old. Im transitioning most phases of my life. My accomplishments-I have not competed yet, but I aim to. Ive lost lots of bodyfat, now I want to show it all off!

Goal (Long):
Presently Im about 15% over where I I'd like to be for my bodyfat. I want that gone, I want shoulders for the first time in my life-I had been doing well, but bad rotators slowed that one. I want my legs back to 27 inches-- this time-- WITHOUT the extra bodyfat. My arms are just over 16.25 inches-- I want my 17.25's to grow to 18". BTW-- I measure-flat not pumped nor flexed-- and the bottom line-- I WANT MY 33 INCH WAISTLINE-- I know its in there-- and dying to come out.I want to be able to achieve at least one decent lat spread before Im 50
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 30 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
18%
Upcoming Contest:
Prob something either Las Vegas/ or SoCal

I have spent the last few weeks slacking off-- barely getting to the gym 3 days a week. BUT in the time that I did put in, it was serious. I worked for size, ate for size and got size, but I added too much fat too. I have found a new idea-- alternate big muscle exercises with...
Great pictures (your transformation is truly inspiring!) and an even better profile. What you wrote shows you clearly a complete man (brains and brawn). Thanks for posting!
Great job! Hey, what do you think about living in Las Vegas. I'm considering a move out there for a job. Across the country again - but the opp looks really good. Don't know many people who have lived out there... Any advice would be appreciated.
Great goals and you are making super progress. Staying shirtless all summer in Vegas might get you burnt to charcoal but hey at least you will be lookin' good.
Keep rippin' it up!
Thanks for the words of encouragement. I ended up not giving up on my cutting phase, and I'm starting to see a few changes. Maybe I will compete after all. It's still going to be a long road. Best of luck with your competition goals.
Best of luck with your fitness goals. Some of your experiences struck a chord in me in that some of my friends say that I have potential as a bodybuilder as well. However, after seeing some of the competitors at a local competition, never having competed before, and now in my 30's, I was starting to think that mayhe my chance had passed. Seeing that you still strive to compete in your 40's is motivating. Thanks for helping me not give up.
Good for u bro! and are u sure those arms are at 16 inches? they look at least 17 to me.... keep up the diet and hard work, and best of everything to ya
